When do you write?
Does it really matter when you write? Some would say that writing in the morning before the day begins leaves you with an open mind, as you’ll be writing in the wake of dreams and before the daily grind has had a chance to destroy your imagination. Others would say the evening is best, at night and after everything is finished and quiet and your time is free.
Many don’t even worry about schedules — they’ll write when the mood strikes them.

I find it very hard to write any time other than first thing in the morning. I wake up early and have a good couple of hours before I need to get ready for work (OK, very early in the morning!). The only time I’ve managed to write at other times is when I have tight deadlines but even then, I find it almost impossible after lunchtime!

I couldn’t imagine getting anything serious done in the afternoon.
Mornings really do seem to be the best (unless I’m on a deadline, myself, which is when I end up pushing everything back to the last possible second…old habit). Still, I often find myself just writing when I get the chance…I’ve always had a hard time keeping schedules.
